The Provo Utah Airport offers commercial flights through Allegiant Air and Breeze Airways. As Utah's second busiest airport, you can fly from up to 17 different destinations throughout the U.S. The PVU Airport is also the closest airport to a Utah Ski Resort, making it the perfect destination for a Weekend Ski Trip. Provo Airport Parking 2024
Right now the airport has around 2000 total parking stalls. On opening day there were just over 500 permanent parking stalls. Approximately 1,500 temporary parking stalls have been added since opening. We do have overflow parking that can accommodate around 200 vehicles. Now that the parking lot has been expanded to 2000 stalls we have not yet maxed out our parking capacity.
The UTA bus route is number 833 and it starts service at the airport at 7:42 a.m. and runs every hour until 6:44 p.m.
The overall plan is to change the temporary parking stalls that are currently in millings into permanent asphalt parking stalls, this will include parking lot lights, location signs, curb, gutter, and paint. Our current parking pay system was recently changed in September 2023, and hope that this will fix many of the parking difficulties.
Flight Check-In & Security
You should arrive at the airport at least two hours before your flight boards. This will give you enough time to pay for parking, check your bags, and go through security.
It can take 10-40 minutes to pass through security at PVU, so it is always wise to arrive early.
When will the Provo Airport Parking expansion be completed?
- The current expansion with the temporary millings parking lot will be complete in August 2023. The permanent parking lot improvements will be completed in 2024.
How many new parking stalls will be added at the Provo Airport?
- There are currently 900 parking stalls at PVU. In August, there will be 1,500 parking stalls.
Are there alternative parking lots at the Provo Airport?
- There is an overflow lot but it is only used to accommodate parking if the main lot is full. It's also used for construction or special airport events.
Are signs posted when the lot is full at Provo Airport? Where else can I park?
- A-Frame signs are usually posted when the main parking lot is full. In this case, travelers may use the overflow parking lot.
