K’s Kitchen is named after Kazuyo Stevenson, who was born and raised in Hokkaido Japan, and only moved to Orem, UT, in March of 2018. She has fed a large family for many, many years, and after visiting Utah over the years, she felt there was a need for authentic Japanese cuisine in Utah county. She has made it her goal in life now to bring authentic, delicious Japanese food, focused on Domburi, which are traditional rice bowl dishes, to Utah county, and found an ideal location in Downtown Provo, right across the street from the Provo City offices. As you will learn, K’s Kitchen is an at home environment, run by many members of her family, where not only is the food truly authentic, hand made by Kazuyo herself, but she has also placed an emphasis on “Omotenashi”, which is the Japanese term used at the 2020 Japanese Olympic bid, to explain the Japanese version of “hospitality”.
