  • Overview

This unique attraction features the No. 618, a 1907 vintage steam locomotive, which pulls passengers in authentically restored vintage coaches on one- or two-way trips from Vivian Park up Provo Canyon, around Deer Creek Lake, and through the beautiful Heber Valley. (The steam locomotive does not operate every day).

In addition to scenic daytime rides, the Heber Valley Railroad offers a number of special events including evening Sunset BBQ Specials, Friday Night Specials themed for Chocolate Lovers, Cheese Tasting and other fun. Other popular special events include Wild West Days over Memorial Day Weekend, Dinosaur Days the last week in June, and Wizard Trains the last week of July. In the fall/winter you can enjoy the annual Pumpkin Festival throughout October, and at Christmastime the North Pole Express, which runs from the day after Thanksgiving through Christmas Eve.

Note: Boards in Provo Canyon during summer months
