  • Overview
    The westernmost community in Utah Valley, Cedar Fort is located on State Highway 73, about eight miles west of Eagle Mountain. In 1856, the Utah Legislature incorporated the area of Cedar Fort as Cedar Valley County, with Cedar Fort as the county seat. Utah County later absorbed the area on May 17, 1965. Cedar Fort's population is just over 350 (2003 Census). Most of its residents are employed at the Tooele Army Depot, 18 miles away. (Information courtesy John W. Van Cott, UVEDA)
