Provo Canyon

Discover the natural allure of Provo Canyon, a breathtaking landscape nestled in the heart of Utah. Renowned for its scenic beauty and an abundance of recreational activities, Provo Canyon is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts. From the serene flow of the Provo River to the majestic Bridal Veil Falls, this picturesque canyon offers a diverse range of adventures, including longboarding, biking, rafting, and hiking.

Whether you're seeking a tranquil retreat or an adrenaline-filled escapade, Provo Canyon is a destination that promises unforgettable experiences amidst its stunning mountainous backdrop.

Mount Timpanogos stands as a beacon for hikers. With two main trails – Timpooneke and Aspen Grove – each about 14 miles round trip, the hike to this 11,753-foot peak is an unforgettable experience. The best time to hike is July and August, avoiding the weekend crowds. Remember to bring navigation tools, extra water, appropriate clothing, and be mindful of altitude sickness and weather conditions.

The 20-mile Alpine Loop drive, open from late May to late October, winds through American Fork and Provo Canyons. Witness stunning views of Mount Timpanogos and visit attractions like Timpanogos Cave National Monument and Sundance. The drive is not recommended for large vehicles and requires a recreation pass for use of facilities in the area.

Kyhv Peak provides spectacular views of Provo and Hobble Creek Canyons. Accessible via Squaw Peak Road, the mostly dirt road leads to breathtaking vistas of the valley and surrounding peaks. The road is open from mid-May to mid-October and is ideal for mountain biking and four-wheeling adventures.
