Instructor: Beverly Powell
Beverly started shooting eight years ago and was hooked with the first shot. She is an NRA Training Counselor with ten (yes count them ten) instructor disciplines and is working on number eleven.
She’s taught hundreds of women (and a few men too), in her NRA Women on Target programs, NRA Instructor and Basic Student classes, Utah Concealed Firearm Permit classes and Hunter Education classes.
What Beverly likes most about instructing is when she sees the “ah-ha” moments in her students and their desire to continue learning.
This course is for Certified RSOs looking to become a Chief RSO.
This course is presented in two parts: Basic Instructor Training and NRA Chief Range Safety Officer training.
Sessions include standard operating procedures, inspections, emergency procedures, firearm stoppages and malfunctions, safety briefings.
Students must demonstrate organizational and teaching skills via participation in practical exercises and complete an open book exam.
Bring your NRA RSO manual with you to this class.
If you need the Basic Instructor Training, please contact Beverly Powell and a BIT class will be arranged.
