Welcome to the Wolverine Den! Located in Orem, Utah Valley University provides higher education for more than 33,000 students (representing all 50 states and 78 countries) and entertainment for locals and valley visitors alike.
UVU was founded in 1936 to provide vocational training to Utah County high school students, and is now on track to become the state's largest provider of undergraduate education. In the past 22 years, the school has leapfrogged from technical school to community college to state college and finally, on July 1, 2008, it became a regional university offering graduate degrees. UVU is now the second-largest four-year institution in the Utah System of Higher Education (behind University of Utah), and is providing higher education to more Utahns than any other university.
