  • Overview
Due to the enhanced safety measures while operating under the High Risk restrictions, operations have changed at the Noorda Center for the Performing Arts. In-person events may only be attended by UVU Students, faculty, and staff. General admission patrons and students from other institutions may still purchase tickets to virtual performances. We thank you for your patronage and look forward to seeing you when restrictions have lifted.***The pounding of drums is something every culture is familiar with from the steel drums of the Caribbean, to the deserts of the Middle East, to the drum set of your favorite band. Join the UVU Percussion Ensemble as they explore classical pieces from different cultures as well as reinterpretations of some of your modern favorites. The concert will be split in half between the newly founded UVU steel band playing songs of the Caribbean as well as the UVU Percussion Ensemble playing contemporary classical chamber music and musical styles and instruments from the Middle East. The highlight of the evening will be the world-premiere of Emma O’Halloran’s SHELL. You’ll leave with your blood pounding from the excitement of the evening.
