  • Overview
This uproarious Tony Award-winning musical is a Monty Python spoof on the legend of King Arthur!Lovingly ripped off from the classic film comedy Monty Python and the Holy Grail, MONTY PYTHON’S SPAMALOT retells the legend of King Arthur and his Knights of the Round Table, and features a bevy of beautiful girls, not to mention cows, killer rabbits, and French people. The 2005 Broadway production won three Tony® Awards, including Best Musical, and was followed by two successful West End runs. The uproarious, and gloriously entertaining story of King Arthur and the Lady of the Lake will make you laugh out loud as they search for the Holy Grail and “always look on the bright side of life.” Directed by Michael Carrasco.NOTE: We have chosen to produce the slightly reworked School Edition of the original Broadway script, which has been carefully edited for language and allows the director discretion to make the show more content friendly for schools and theatrical groups.Book and Lyrics: Eric Idle  | Music: John Du PrezCOVID-19:  As this show will be held indoors in our 450-seat theatre at SCERA Center for the Arts, we are doing a two-pronged approach: The majority of shows will be MASKS REQUIRED and seating will be “shoulder to shoulder.” We will designate 2-3 performances as distanced, reduced capacity nights for those who are not comfortable with a full theatre. We will block off every other row and keep three chairs between groups on rows. Because seating will be distanced, face coverings are strongly encouraged, but especially as you enter, get seated, at concessions and in the restrooms. Audiences for these performances will be reduced to about 33% of full capacity, so tickets will go quickly. If state and county health guidelines change, we will update our policies accordingly. WE EXPECT ALL ATTENDEES TO BE RESPECTFUL OF THE SAFETY AND COMFORT OF OUR STAFF AND GUESTS.
