Summer is here, and that means 90 degree days. Here's a list of 5 places where you and your family can cool off and quench your thirst with a delicious soda! Which place is your favorite?
Sodalicious opened in October 2013 and has taken Utah Valley by storm ever since. This drink stop is recognized for its creative drink names, such as 2nd Wife, Dirty Coke, Flaming Ginger, and Civil Marriage. Their original location at 30 W 300 N in Provo has always been hoppin, so they have recently opened two new locations: at The Village Apartments in Provo, and accross the street from Target in Orem. Make sure to try their delicious baked goods as well, such as sugar cookies and the "Big Fat Crispie."
Swig got its start in Southern Utah back in 2010, right by the Dixie State campus in St. George. Since then, this drink stop has grown to eight different locations throughout Utah, including three in Utah Valley: Provo, Orem, and Lehi. Aside from soda, Swig also offers smoothies, energy drinks, coffee, tea, ice cream and cookies. Try it out for yourself!
3. Pop'n Sweets
Pop'n Sweets has 2 Utah Valley locations in Provo and American Fork. This place has a quaint, old-school feel to it, with bar seating and old fashioned candies. Those who have travelled overseas will love their collection of international candies, and if you don't see your favorite, you can tell them about it and they will order it just for you! At the soda bar you can enjoy soda on tap, with free refills. They also have BYU Creamery ice cream to add to your soda for some really delightful floats. Stop in on a Monday night between 7-9 PM for their Family Night promotion, and receive 10% off your order.
4. The Slurp
The Slurp is a hip little spot on American Fork Main Street, and they offer a variety of delicious soda flavors as well as desserts. One great thing about this place is that they will provide you with a glass of ice cold milk for dunking your cookies. They also have Leatherby's Ice Cream, hot fudge sundaes, ice cream cookie sandwiches, brownies, and more. They also have a hot drinks menu with coffee, cappuccinos, chai latte, tea, and gourmet hot chocolate.
5. The Cocoa Bean
The Cocoa Bean is located in the Brigham's Landing shopping center in Provo, not far from BYU Campus. This place is better known for it's delicious cupcakes, but it also has great soda options, including a wide array of flavoring syrups such as coconut, kiwi, and pineapple. These sodas aren't officially listed on the menu (think secret menu like Jamba Juice or In-n-Out), but if you ask for it, you'll get it. The Cocoa Bean also specializes in mouth-watering frappes and Italian sodas. Whether you're looking for a tasty dessert or a satisfying drink, The Cocoa Bean has got you covered.
