Grab your skis and/or snowboard because Sundance opens December 4th! Here is a little guide to help you know how to get there, where to rent equipment, how to learn to ski/snowboard, and where to eat.

How to Get There

To drive there, take Highway 189 up Provo Canyon. Turn left on Highway 92 and continue until you reach the Sundance Resort.

You can also take UTA Bus Route 880 up to Sundance Resort. You can catch the bus at the Provo Central Station, the Timpanogos Transit Center, or at the Harmons on 800 N and 800 E in Orem.

Where to Rent Equipment

The Sundance Mountain Outfitters is located in the Creekside Building. The Outfitters provide all your ski/snowboard needs including repairs. An adult rental package (skis/snowboard, boots, and poles) is $30/day. Check out their website for a whole list of prices.

How to Learn to Ski/Snowboard

The Ski and Snowboard School is also located in the Creekside Building. Sundance's school is a PSIA/AASI Certified School with great instructors. You can choose from group lessons, semi-private, or private lessons. For the ladies, there are special ladies day clinics where you can get four lessons for $260. Grab a girl friend and go!

Where to Eat

All that zipping around the mountain can really work up an appetite. Luckily, Sundance has some amazing restaurants. For something fast and easy, head to the deli for a delicious sandwich or salad. For something fancier, I recommend the Foundry Grill or the Tree Room. Dine on delicious food from top-of-the-class chefs.

Happy ski season! Hope to see you on the mountain!
