Spring is here and there is no better way to celebrate that in Utah County than the Festival of Colors at the Sri Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Spanish Fork. The Festival of Colors, or Holi, is held every year to announce the arrival of spring and the passing of winter. Events start Saturday March 29  at 10 am and ends Sunday at 4 pm.  The festival has musical interludes, the lighting of a bonfire, burning of an effigy, and the throwing of colors on friends and strangers. The dry colored powders you can buy at the temple for $2 a bag are non stain, but you should still wear something you are ok with getting a little more colorful. I would suggest a white v neck t-shirt. Admission to this years festival is $3, for $2 more you can park at the Spanish Fork Fair Ground and ride the shuttle to the festival. Make sure to leave early so you can get through traffic.
