Presidents Day is here which means a three day weekend for most of us. Take advantage of that extra day off work and school explore all the fun Utah Valley has to offer!

Day 1- Saturday

Spend you first day discovering Lehi! Part of the Silicone Slopes corridor, this area of Utah is growing by leaps and bounds! With all this growth you have lots of events and activities popping up. Start your day off exploring Thanksgiving Point. This multi experience educational theme park has something for everyone. First, head to The Museum of Ancient Life and learn about everything dinosaur! This museum has 60 complete dinosaur skeletons as well as 50 hands on exhibits. So go ahead and bring out your inner paleontologist and get your dig on!

Next visit The Museum of Natural Curiosity. This interactive museum has fun activities for both young and old! Try your hand at their ropes course canopy tour, hang out in a tree house, or crawl through a 45 foot tall monkey's head! Other points of interest include Water Works, The Discovery Garden, Archimedes Playground and Kidopolis. By the end of the day you'll have been thoroughly entertained as well as educated!

Day 2- Sunday

On day two, head to the mountains! Spend a day relaxing in nature with our beautiful mountain views. A must do on your itinerary is a scenic drive up Provo Canyon! This 32 mile drive has some beautiful canyon vistas that are the highlight of the valley! On this drive you'll pass by Bridal Veil Falls, a 600 ft. double cataract waterfall that's a popular stop for locals and visitors alike. Make sure to stop by and take a photo or two. Along this route you'll follow the Provo River. If you need to get out and stretch your legs, take a jaunt along the Provo River Trail. This paved trail runs 15 miles from Utah Lake State Park, through Provo City and up into the canyon. You can find numerous parks along the trail that provide parking. As you walk along the trail you may even spy some fly fisherman in the nearby river. Provo River is a blue ribbon fly fishery, which makes it an outdoor haven for fisherman of all stripes.

Your next can't miss stop is Sundance Mountain Resort.  Owned by Robert Redford, this resort is the perfect escape from your hectic busy life. Hit the slopes for an afternoon of skiing or check out their winter zip tour. If you're not into winter sports, you can make some jewelry or soap at their Art Studio, get a massage at their spa, or eat at one of their top ranked restaurants, the Tree Room or Foundry Grill. Sundance always has a lot of events and activities so make sure you check out our calendar to see what's going on!

Day 3 - Monday

For day three, take a trip to Provo City! A trip to Provo wouldn't be complete without visiting Brigham Young University. For those wishing to get a glimpse into the history of the University, as well as other interesting facts and tidbits, schedule a tour at the Hinckley Alumni and Visitor Center. Tours typically take about an hour and guests are taken around campus in golf carts. If you prefer to explore on your own terms, check out one of the five museums on campus.

After your visit to BYU take some time to wander historic downtown Provo. Here you'll glimpse some great historic architecture as well as some unique boutique shops. Your options on activities here vary with virtual reality at Virtual Experience Arcade, karaoke at Heart and Seoul Karaoke, some good old fashion fun with board games at Good Move Cafe.

End your night by having dinner at one of the many local restaurants, or pick up a sweet treat at The Sweet Tooth Fairy, SubZero Ice Cream, Rockwell Ice Cream, or some craft chocolate from Taste. Whatever food craving you have, Downtown Provo can satisfy it.
