Utah Valley University Performing Arts
A rich and inclusive UVU artistic education opens doors to a meaningful and worthwhile university education. The School of the Arts teaches students how to provide and appreciate artistic experiences. The School offers Bachelor degrees in 13 artistic disciplines, 4 Associate degrees, and has approximately 1,500 majors.
Our student performers have excelled in their crafts and garnered numerous awards and recognitions. In addition, UVU has recently become an all-Steinway School, a distinction recognizing the Music department's commitment to providing students with the finest practice instruments and facilities.
Dance
The mission of the UVU Department of Dance is to foster academic and artistic excellence through an intensive technical and reflective study of dance. Anchored in a common core curriculum, with several areas of emphasis, our program provides a rich and stimulating environment where students can cultivate their potential. We value superior teaching which promotes dance as an artistic and cultural expression that has the power to enrich and transform the individual, community, and society. Music
The Music Department at UVU offers a myriad of musical opportunities for every type of student. Majors can choose from five different music degrees or design their own. Non-majors can enroll in music classes and participate in ensembles. They are even eligible for substantial performance scholarships.

Theatrical Arts
The Department of Theatrical Arts for Stage and Screen offers four different degrees as well as a Theatre Arts minor. The curriculum is dedicated to the study and practice of theater in all its phases, and offers students an excellent balance between hands-on production experience and the academic study of theatre arts.
The program also provides UVU and the surrounding Utah Valley community with an active production program, including five to six major productions during the academic year as well as various Platform Series productions. Venues
The multi-million dollar Noorda Regional Theatre Center opened its doors on September 11, 2009. The Noorda is no ordinary theatre, it has the ability to transform its seating configuration from show to show and showcase the ambiance of multiple styles of theater. This ensures that audience members will never feel like they are coming to the same theater twice. The Ragan Theater is a full-service theater with a 40 x 30 foot thrust stage, a state-of-the-art sound and lighting system, and a 20 foot wide drop down projection screen. The eXbox Theatre is a small black box theatre which is used for theatre classes, auditions and rehearsals, and is home for our new Platform Series. Tickets to performances in this venue can be purchased through the theatre box office's website, in person, or by calling (801) 863-7529.
