Ski & Snowboard
See what it feels like to ski and snowboard on the “best snow on Earth” during the winter season at Sundance. The mountain terrain offers more than 41 runs situated on 500 acres of snow-covered ground for beginners and experts. Experts ride the steep, wide-open bowls and narrow chutes while beginners ride the bunny slope and other easy riding slopes.
If you are a beginner, Sundance offers ski & snowboard lessons for all ages. Skilled and certified instructors teach all levels of instruction for groups, semi-private and private parties. For lessons, call (801) 223-4140.
Rentals and demos are also available at the Sundance Mountain Outfitters located at the base of Ray Summit. They offer state-of-the-art K2 skis and Rossignol snowboards for rent or for purchase.
Lifts are open daily 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and night skiing is offered from 4:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. (on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday only). If season passes are purchased they also include the summer season as well for biking and hiking. This lets you explore the resort year-round to try out all the variety of activities offered each season.
Cross Country Center/Snowshoeing
Experience the rare combination of pristine back country and immaculate wide trails, and separate snowshoe trails at the Cross Country Center. Daily groomed trails of 26 kilometers are available for skiing, classic skiing and snowshoeing.
Snowshoers: explore the terrain with 10 kilometers of trails that go through the woods.
The Cross Country Center is open from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is outfitted with rentals and new demo equipment for all ages and experience levels. Coaching sessions are available for all levels on a daily basis.
