Hiking Trails

Whether you’re a beginner or expert hiker, experience more than 10 miles of scenic trails at Sundance. Take the lift ride up the mountain to be dropped off by the trailheads or hike on trails located near the base of the resort. There’s the choice to explore alone or hike with a guide. Here are some featured favorite Sundance trails:

Stewart Falls

One of the most popular hikes, it is located at the top of the lift on Ray’s Summit. The hike goes through the mountain forest and across a meadow to reach the falls. It is a beginner/intermediate hike that takes approximately 2 hours.

Black Forest Loop
Visitors take the lift to Ray’s Summit with the trail taking them through forests back down to base by the Sundance summer theater. It is a great hike for beginners.

Arrowhead Summit Trail

A more adventurous hiker would enjoy the challenge of this trail. The hike takes the visitor up to Arrowhead Summit to provide spectacular views of Wasatch, Utah Valley, and Heber Valley.

There are a few hikes located off-property that are near Sundance. This includes the Ridge Trail, which is a 4-hour beginner/intermediate hike, and the Great Western Trail, a 3-hour intermediate hike. Learn more about the natural surroundings by taking guided tours on the general hikes as well as the off-property hikes. Call Sundance at (801) 223-4849 for more information.
