Flyfishing
Just down the road from the Sundance Resort is the Provo River where you can cast your line to catch some Rainbow, Cutthroat, and German Brown trout. As one of the premier blue ribbon trout fisheries in the world, the Provo River contains 3,400 trout per square mile with the average trout measuring to 17 inches.
License and regulations are required and can be obtained at Sundance Mountain Outfitters. There is one day a year where the Utah Division of Wildlife Resources declares a Free Fishing Day. This day is in June and usually falls during National Fishing Week. On this day, fishing is free for residents and non-residents who are allowed to fish without needing a license.
Equipment and guides are provided by Provo River Outfitters. They specialize in guided fly fishing in the Provo River and other surrounding lakes and streams. Enjoy this world class experience with a guide who knows the waters and shares it with you. Any age and experience level are welcomed to join fly fishing.
