Art Shack Classes
Find your creative side at the Sundance Art Shack. When you spend two hours in one of the Art Shack’s various workshops, you can come home with your own original artwork and a physical memory of experiencing the Utah mountains.
Workshops teach everything from jewelry making, wheel-thrown pottery, watercolor or oil painting, print making, photography, and charcoal and pencil drawing. All classes are tailored to each individual’s ability. Expert instruction is given as well as materials for the beginner and experienced student.
All workshops and classes are open to resort guests and day visitors. Reserve your classes at least 24 hours in advance. Cancellation policy does apply. For more information, call (801) 225-4107, ext. 4535
Special Workshops
Meet an expert artist in a special multi-day workshop held at the Art Shack. In the past, Nicholas Wilton and Jennie Oppenheimer have held workshops that taught art techniques in the beautiful atmosphere of Sundance.
In November 2009, Napa Valley artist, Nancy Willis will be holding a workshop. She will teach participants painting techniques and discover Impressionism and finding their own artistic process.
Glassblower Studio
Watch poetic motions as Sundance’s resident glass blowers make their exquisite hand-blown glass items. Located next to the Art Shack, they use the artistic traditions of Tlaquepaque, Guadalajara to perfect hot molten balls into glass art pieces such as vases, wine glasses, dinner plate, and pitchers.
