Nestled in the north fork of Provo Canyon, Robert Redford's Sundance Resort is the home of a year-round mountain community. Visitors and guests can be seen at the base of the 12,000-foot Mount Timpanogos enjoying a variety of activities from skiing, dining, hiking, horseback riding, mountain biking, and shopping.

From attending concerts in the summer to the Sundance Film Festival held in the winter, there is always something to do at Sundance regardless of the season. The 6,000-acre resort with incredible mountain scenery is owned by award-winning actor Robert Redford who serves to provide an adventurous outdoor Utah experience to not only locals, but to visitors worldwide.


Enjoy the Sundance atmosphere from your Sundance suite porch or in a rustic mountain home. Sundance offers lodging from one-bedroom studios to 5-bedroom homes.


Taste exquisite cuisine at the Tree Room, an AAA Four Diamond restaurant named Best of State for American Fine Dining in 2009, 2010, 2011 and 2012. Also, dine at Sundance’s the Foundry Grill, Deli, and the Owl Bar for more scrumptious options.

Sundance Summer Activities

Experience the outdoors in the mountains with scenic lift rides, hiking, or mountain biking. You can also try your hand at horseback riding and fly fishing.

Sundance Winter Activities

(Season runs mid-December through first of April) Play on the “best snow on Earth” by skiing, snowboarding, cross-country, or snowmobiling on the powdery slopes at the Sundance Ski Resort. Lessons are available for adults and children.



See celebrities and a showcase of independent films at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Other festivities in the year include harvest, and food & wine festivals.


Performing Arts

Enjoy watching Broadway plays like The Fantasticks at the Eccles Stage, an outdoor amphitheater and listen to storytelling and musical performances such as the Bluebird Café Series and the Utah Symphony.


Art Shack

Get in touch with your creative side by taking art classes offered in the day-time. Art workshops include several mediums such as photography, painting, pottery, and jewelry making.
